The Trust was formally established by the Charity Commission on 7th July 2010 (Registered Charity 1139253) using funds acquired from the sale of the old Butlock’s Heath Infant School, some of the land surrounding the old Netley Infant School together with income from the former School buildings, currently Netley Abbey Library.

Cliff was the Chair of Goveners at Netley Abbey Infant School for many years. He was also the Mayor of Eastleigh from 1983 to 1984.
John has lived in Netley Abbey since 1988. He served for 23 years as the Chair of Governors of Netley Abbey Junior School and as The Chair of the Parish Council. Before retirement, he was in the police force for 30 years, working in London and Hampshire. He has been a member of NABHET's trustees since 2005. He is a keen gardener and ran the gardening club for 8 years at Netley Abbey Junior School.
Peter has lived in Netley Abbey since 1980 and is a former Vice-Chair of Governors of the Junior and Infant Schools. Having retired from a career in banking he joined the NABHET Board of Trustees as Honorary Treasurer in 2015. His principal interests lie in sport where he is a lifelong Saints supporter and a keen lawn bowler. He is married with two daughters and twin grandsons.
Ian has lived in Netley Abbey since 2018, and before that in Hamble and Bursledon, where he served for many years as Chair of Governors of the Junior School. Before retirement, he was a Principal Officer in Hampshire County Council's Education Department, where his responsibilities included school sites and charities. He was instrumental in establishing NABHET in its current form and has been a member of NABHET's trustees since its inception in 2010.
Jayne has lived in Netley Abbey since 2001, having grown up in Northamptonshire and living, working and studying in London for many years. She worked in Netley Abbey Infant and Junior school for over 15 years as an ELSA (Emotional Literacy Support Assistant) and Nurture Group Leader, helping to establish the Lighthouse Nurture Group. She became a trustee in 2019 and recently took on the role of Trust Administrator. She has two daughters who both attended the Netley Abbey and Hamble schools and Barton Peveril sixth form college before progressing to study at universities in London.
Shirley is the Executive Head Teacher of the Federation of Netley Abbey Infant and Junior Schools.
